The team of experienced Sport Performance Specialist, Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainers and Wellness Coaches have the training and expertise necessary to help young kids achieve their health and fitness goals.

Children benefit when parents increase their own daily physical activity.

One study explains that a “child’s level of physical activity rises by 5 to 10 minutes for every 20-minute increase in the physical activity of a parent.” Similarly, children walked an additional 200 to 350 steps for every 1,000 steps that a parent walked. This connection is important to keep in mind when encouraging children to get the recommended 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) per day.

A Typical Class

This is a freestyle class based on the needs of the class and style of instructor. Class sites include the studio or outdoors depending on season. Team activities may be included in this class.

• Age Appropriate Fitness Classes - Weekly classes that focus on Resistance Training, Cardiovascular Training and Interactive Games. Safe and efficient training based on science and backed by Doctors of Physical Therapy.

• Family Fitness Classes - Classes that focus on activity and play as a family. creating an in-home environment of activity and movement. 

• Nutritional Guidance on the A,B,C's of Proper Nutrition - Learn the truth, about your body and how to fuel it right. Educating the youth on various aspects of maintaining healthy eating habits and how to integrate this lifestyle into their own. 

• Kids in Motion Activities - Exercising doesn't have to be a chore. We introduce youth to new sports and activities. They will learn the rules, strategy of the game, and how to be a good teammate. In hopes that they will enjoy the game or activity, share with friends and play often.

• Ongoing Online Support and Education - We work together with our youth and their parents/caregivers to establish healthy eating and exercise habits for a lifetime. We provide an online community that provides support and education for youth and parents.

As many of you know, two of my passions are fitness and coaching youth. With two children of my own I understand that developing good dietary and exercise habits in our youth is essential. Studies have shown that kids who consume more nutrient dense foods and are active 40-60 minutes daily are less likely to develop chronic preventive diseases such as diabetes and heart disease in adulthood. With that in mind, we have created Power Kids Wellness Inc. A 501c3 nonprofit organization that provide youth the opportunity to learn how to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle. Our program promotes physical fitness and nutritional education in a safe and fun environment. Our program encourages kids to be physically active everyday and eat a balanced diet, while eliminating poor food choices. The focus is on the benefits of proper nutrition and exercise for life. We work to equip the youth with the tools they need for a life-long healthy lifestyle. 
Our program will include:
• Age Appropriate Fitness Classes - Weekly classes that focus on Resistance Training, Cardiovascular Training and Interactive Games. Safe and efficient training based on science and backed by Doctors of Physical Therapy.
• Family Fitness Classes - Classes that focus on activity and play as a family. Creating a in-home environment of activity and movement. 
• Nutritional Guidance on the A,B,C's of Proper Nutrition - Learn the truth, about your body and how to fuel it right. Educating the youth on various aspects of maintaining healthy eating habits and how to integrate this lifestyle into their own. 
• Kids in Motion Activities - Exercising doesn't have to be a chore. We introduce youth to new sports and activities. They will learn the rules, strategy of the game and how to be a good teammate. In hopes that they will enjoy the game or activity, share with friends and play often.
• Ongoing Online Support and Education - We work together with our youth and their parents/caregivers to establish healthy eating and exercise habits for a lifetime. We provide a online community that provides support and education for youth and parents.
